Nani Original Painting
16” x 20” oil over acrylic on stretched canvas.
The ongoing Ladies in Bloom series began in July of 2022 as a journey of self-healing and discovery. Kristina spent many years emotionally and creatively stifled. Upon finding her newfound freedom and yearning to express herself, Kristina wanted to encapsulate the feminine energy “in bloom” - the life-giving ideas, expressions, positivity, gratitude and outpouring of one’s own internal beauty once given the opportunity to fully embody her true feminine nature.
Nani, which means "beautiful" in Hawaiian, is adorned in beautiful hibiscus and other flowers of aloha. This sunny piece is the third in this series, conjured by Kristina's reminiscent memories of living in Oahu and being enchanted by the locals' beauty.
